N.S.S.
There are N.S.S. units in all Rajas colleges with a minimum of 100 members each. The N.S.S. units are undertaking
adaptation of villages and community service to promote awareness on national integrity and Communal harmony.
Every year special camps are organised in rural villages about AIDS awareness , Voters awareness , Awareness on Liquor prohibition , Environment and pollution control ,savings , Fire prevention measures and Women status which are highlighted in the campus .Free eye / Dental / Medical camps are also made frequently to the villages. Many villagers below poverty line are much benefitted by this free camps.Free opticals are provided to the needy people during the free camp donated by Dr.S.A.Raja, the Chairman of Rajas Colleges.
Leo Club
The S.A. Rajas Polytechnic Leo - Club mobilizes the energy of the youths towards the down trodden society around the Campus. It is Sponsored by the Lions club of Vadakangulam.The club consists of 50 members.The prime objective of the club is to mobilize the youth energy towards uplifting the down trodden society around the campus. The Leo club members conduct free dental camps in various villages every year. These camps are sponsored by Rajas Dental College.
Rotract Club
The Rotract Club in J.E.C activates tremendous welfare Programmes near Aralvoimozhi. The club is sponsored by the Rotary club of Nagercoil and it consists of 50 members from Jayamatha Engineering College.Apart from services like Blood donation, distributing free books to poor students and conducting cultural programmes , club also carries out exemplary projects like Medical aids , AIDS awareness programme , Drug abuse etc.
Blood Donor Club
The Blood Donor Club was started in our The Rajaas Engineering College to motivate the students and staff to donate blood voluntarily to blood banks and other needy people
The following are the activities of the Blood Donor Club :
To enroll students and staff on blood donors / blood groupwise.
To organise blood donors camps.
To organise motivational lectures and competitions etc.
To honour donors and donor motivator once in a year.
The president of the Blood Donor Club is the Principal of our College and the treasurer and organiser is the NSS Programme officier Mr.M.I.J.John.
Youth Red Cross
We have a YRC unit in our The Rajaas Engineering College.Our Unit has a total of 50 members who are earnestly and tiredlesly working for the society through various schemes like ,Health & Hygiene , environmental protection,
general social awareness on AIDS and other disease, Tobacco and polio eradication etc.
Whenever humanitarian needs and support are been felt or sought ,(for example drought and earthquake) our unit has collected money and materials to be sent immediately to the affected brothers.
Our YRC members regularly conducting awareness programmes to donate Blood & eye .
