The Selvam Educational And Charitable Trust, and Rajas Educational and Charitable Trust Vadakkangulam were established in the year 1984 under the Chairmanship of Dr.S.A.Raja a popular philanthropist and educationist hailing from Vadakkangulam.

Encouraged by the wide encomium received from all quarters of the Country, Sri A.Johnsel Raja established The Jeya Educational and Charitable Trust, Nagercoil in the year 1994. Under the functional control of this Trust, The Jayamatha Engineering Collegewas started at Aralvaimozhi, Kanyakumari Dist. in the year 1995.
