S. A Raja Pharmacy College was established in 1987. The Bacelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) Degree course is approved by the Government of Tamilnadu in G.O.M.s.No.1961. Health and family welfare (ME-II) department and affiliated to the Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University vide proceedings No. /- 256112/affin. 1(2)/93 and recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India.

The institute has seven of lecture halls, which helps in imparting teaching to the students. These lecture halls, spread over a carpet area of 4500 sq.mtrs, provide an interactive amience for students to learn, interact and participate in the activities of a classroom. Tese rooms are well ventilated, well lighed and are spacious to accommodate large number of students.

    These laboratories provide all state-of-the-art equipments required to conduct all types of experiments. The Pharma Chemistry Laboratory is used for testing and quality assurance of drugs. The Pharmaceutics lab is used to formulate the medicines and is the only lab to hae the latest euipment. i.e. Flame Photometer, KF Titrator and Calory Meter for the testing and quality control of the formulation of medicine. Besides these there is also a Drug Museum being maintained by the institute where moder drugs are displayed so that, students of the institute remain updated with the latest inventions going on in world of pharmaceutical sciences.

> Animal House:

An animal house is maintained inside the premises of the institute. This animal house contains mainly Guinea Pigs and Rabbits, which have been kept for the purpose of Pharmacoogical Experiments.

    Library:
    The institute maintains a library of its own for the benefit of students and facilities. Continuous updations are made in the library with newer editions of books o that the students remain updated with the newer inentions and aything-new happening around them.
