Computer Science is a branch of engineering which has enormous scope and job opportunities in the modern world. The latest announcements made by government regarding establishment of new tidal parks and other technological parks reflects the need of computer engineers.
The syllabi of CSE is well designed by the university to meet the requirements of modern industries both in the software as well as hardware fields.


Courses offered
CSE department offers one UG course (BE CSE) with an annual intake of one hundred and twenty students and a PG course (ME CSE) with an annual intake of eighteen students. However, polytechnic students as well as BSc graduates who have mathematics in their curriculum have an opportunity to join directly in the second year UG course.


Laboratory
The CSE department has four highly sophisticated laboratories with the latest computers. The computers in the labs are upgraded periodically to satisfy the technological aspirations of the students.


Internet
A dedicated internet centre with high speed internet connection is made available to the students. The internet centre is kept open even after the college hours and on the weekend holidays to help the students acquire the latest and essential information in relation to their studies.


Department Library
The CSE departmental library contains a vast collection of books connected with the syllabus. The students and the staff members are lucky to have such a treasure house of books.


Department staff
The faculties of CSE department are well qualified and highly dedicated. Most staff members of CSE department have attended various seminars and published research papers in national conferences.  The department is having resident lab technicians to help the students all the time.

Students
The students of CSE department have participated in various college level, inter-college level and state level curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.The proctor system, which is followed in each class is noteworthy because it helps the students to maintain proper discipline among themselves and to achieve academic excellence
