The College was established in the year 1984 on a sprawling 158 Acres of land, between the Western Ghats and Kanyakumari. The College was approved by Government of Tamilnadu vide G.O.No.1777 dated 12/11/84 and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and approved by All India Council for Technical Education. New Delhi vide their order No.f/45-41/91-AICTE/664 dated 12/4/1993 with the following branches of study.
